ODI's Data as Culture Programme
Amy Twigger Holroyd’s practice and research are intertwined: all of her activities are guided by her interest in the relationship between sustainability and the stuff – particularly clothing – that surrounds us, and the potential benefits of bringing making closer to use. In practical terms she mainly explores these ideas through hand knitting, machine knitting and crochet, which allow her to feed her fascination with the endless ingenuity of the knitted structure.
