Data as Culture - Art that uses data as a material
Alistair Gentry (1973 – 2026) was an artist and writer, amongst other things. He lived in London, UK. His work for publication, performance, broadcast and installation was often “subversive” (SFX), at times “startling” (The Independent) and occasionally even “fascinating” (The Times). He liked âsilly costumes, museums, absurdity, and making machines do things their manufacturers wouldnât approve of.” Wikipedia classifies him as a âScience Fiction Artistâ and he was not sure what that means.
